Native Santa Rosan's, Mark DeMeo MD and Jim Lair took a side trip from their annual Dove Hunt Expedition in Argentina to explore the area out of Esquel, in Argentina's PATAGONIA.
In early March, they found the fishing to be somewhat slow .. yet enjoyed the scenery, guides, and the food.
Landing in Bariloche, the outfitters picked them up and drove Mark and Jim through Los Alerces National Park for the 2 hour trek to Esquel.
Daily outings included lunch with the famous Argentina barbeque depicted in this group photo.
Some of the pictures show the awesome Argentina architecture, with one at the top of this page being the Cumbres Blancas Lodge where they stayed. Each day found them either floating rivers, wading shallow flats, or boating on some of the many lakes. Rainbows and Browns can be taken all over this area, with typical sizes being 14-18 inches.
